  24. I tried xdvik-1.2. The result was that xdvik tried to open cmr10 font
  25. at different sizes (it said so on the command-line) but it displayed only
  26. 300pk size. When I set XDVISIZES to 300:328.6:360:432:518.4:622:746.4
  27. (copied from old xdvi) it left those fonts blank because it
  28. couldn't find the rppl and rpcr fonts at those sizes. It didn't revert
  29. back to the old method of using cmr10 at similar sizes.

  63. I still prefer viewing with xdvi and bad Postscript fonts than
  64. ghostview and slow processing. So that's OK with me. We already had 
  65. those psfonts BTW. Normal text Palatino was just fine.

  67. I have set palatino (from regular dvips) in my \documentstyle and looking at
  68. the  messages above, I gathered that rpcrr is Courier-something and rpplb
  69. is Palatino-Bold.

  71. Do we have troubles with mixing old .vf, old postscript fonts .sty files?
  72. The style files of the regular dvips are installed. I thought that
  73. that was OK since regular Postscript text does display correctly.
  74. I still have troubles understanding which name schemes are used, which
  75. should be used.
